1. Information Merge Horizon handles
On-device game data
The app stores settings, saved runs, scores, discovered evolutions, stars, badges, progression, and achievement statistics on your device so the game can work and preserve your progress.
Optional iCloud save data
When iCloud is available, Merge Horizon can copy Main Journey saved gameplay content to a private CloudKit database associated with your Apple Account. This supports syncing and restoring Main Journey across your devices. Explore saved boards, stars, and badges stay on this device; eligible scores can be shared through the leaderboard services described below. We do not operate a separate account database, receive your Apple Account password, or use this data for advertising or tracking.
Optional Game Center data
If you use Game Center, the app sends eligible scores and achievement progress to Apple’s Game Center service and displays Apple-provided leaderboard and achievement information. Apple manages your Game Center profile under Apple’s own privacy terms.
Community world rankings
Starting with the community rankings update, new points earned in Explore contribute to shared world rankings when iCloud is available. The app stores the world identifier, season month, points, and an app-specific account identifier in a public CloudKit database. These records can be read by the app and the developer to calculate world totals, count distinct contributors, and show your contribution. They are separate from private iCloud saves.
The leaderboard displays world totals and your own contribution, without publishing your name, Game Center profile, email address, or physical location. Anyone can support any world; playing a country or city does not identify where you live. The account identifier is used only for this feature, not advertising or tracking. Points earned offline are kept on your device and shared when iCloud becomes available.
Support messages
If you email support, we receive the address, message, and attachments you choose to send. We use them only to respond, diagnose the issue, protect the service, and meet legal obligations.
2. How information is used
- Run the game and remember your settings and progress.
- Sync or restore Main Journey progress through iCloud when available.
- Report scores and achievements through Game Center when available.
- Calculate monthly and all-time community world rankings and personal contributions.
- Answer support requests and fix reported problems.
Merge Horizon does not sell personal information, share it with data brokers, build advertising profiles, or track activity across other companies’ apps or websites.
3. Storage, retention, and your controls
Restart Run clears the current board while keeping earned progress. Deleting the app removes its local copy, but deleting the app alone may not remove data already stored in iCloud or records managed by Game Center.
You can manage Merge Horizon’s iCloud data through your Apple Account’s iCloud storage settings. Game Center scores, achievements, profile information, and retention are controlled through Apple’s Game Center service. Support correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the request, safety, and legal recordkeeping.
Community contribution records are retained for monthly and all-time rankings. Removing the app or its private iCloud save does not remove contributions already shared in the public database. Signing out of iCloud stops new contributions from being uploaded while signed out; points earned locally may be shared after you sign in again. Contact support with questions about community contribution data.
Cloud sync is intentionally conservative: signing out, switching accounts, or a temporary server problem is not treated as permission to erase the progress already on your device.
4. Children’s privacy
Merge Horizon does not knowingly collect personal information from children for advertising or profiling and does not contain ads or social chat. If a child contacts support, a parent or guardian may ask us to delete that correspondence.
5. Security and changes
We use Apple platform protections and minimize the information handled by the app. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. If this policy changes, the updated version and effective date will appear on this page.
